Coturnix Quail - Hatching Eggs - A Dozen + Extras
Coturnix Quail - Hatching Eggs - A Dozen + Extras
Please Read the FULL description before placing an order.
JUMBO WILD - Our Jumbo Wild is also known as a Pharaoh or a Meat-Maker. These are true Jumbos. On average our Jumbos reach 13 to 14 ounces by 10 weeks old and lay an egg that is 14 grams.
JUMBO EGYPTIAN - Our Jumbo Egyptian Coturnix are also a meat maker quail. The average weight is just under the Jumbo Wild and they lay a similar size egg.
AUTO-SEXING - Introducing our JUMBO Auto-Sexing Coturnix Quail for the first time ever! At hatch, gender is able to be determined. This can be helpful for many breeders, especially those who want to keep females only. Our Auto-Sexing Coturnix average the same as our Jumbo Wild and Jumbo Egyptian.
MYSTERY MIX - This is a fun mix for anybody looking to add some color into their flock! This mix can include rare colors such as blue, silver, pansy, sparkly, fee and many more! As a special treat I will include 2 BONUS Celadon hatching eggs for every dozen purchased. Please note that it is quite possible to hatch Jumbo's out of this group, but that is not a guarantee as my Mystery Mix is a "Jumbo Work in Progress". I keep and breed only the best but the rare colors will take more time and effort before I can be satisfied calling them Jumbo.
Orders are backed up to August currently.
Please read the full description BEFORE placing your order!!! This listing is for ONE dozen hatching eggs plus any extras I may have.
Please include your name, full address, email and phone number as well as any desired shipping dates in an email to SlightlySavageHomestead@gmail.com.
Hatching Eggs will be shipped through USPS Priority Mail Express. In the even that the box is damage and/or there is damage to the eggs, I must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of package. Priority Mail Express includes insurance.
Hatching Eggs can be shipped all year round to the continental United States. They do well even in the coldest temps. In the case that your hatching eggs are shipping during a heat wave, I can add an icepack to your package, free of charge to keep the eggs from developing during transport.
Chicks will only be shipped from Monday through Wednesday to ensure they don’t get stuck at the post office over the weekend.
Once home, your day-old chicks must be kept at 95 degrees Fahrenheit for the first week. Please don’t forget to give your chicks a cool spot(s) for them to escape the heat if they become overheated. Food and water must be provided immediately upon arrival. I recommend you dip their beaks in the water to show them where to go. I highly recommend a brooder plate in lieu of a heat lamp. Heat lamps can never be used with 100% safety.
If there is a certain date you would like to receive your chicks, that must be arranged immediately after purchase. I can be reached at SlightlySavageHomestead@gmail.com. Please include your order number in the email.
If a specific date is not requested, the order will be added to the waitlist. Orders are filled in the order that they are received. Once an estimated ship date is available, an email containing the expected ship date will be sent to the email on file. Please ensure that the email on file is correct and check your spam regularly. If that ship date will not work for you, please contact me immediately to let me know your desired ship date. Once your chicks are shipped you will receive another email with your tracking number. I highly recommend you monitor the status of your shipment in order to catch any delays and make sure that you are ready to pick up the chicks when they arrive at the Post Office.
If you would like to cancel your order at any time you can do so without penalty as long as I haven’t set your eggs. Once I set your eggs, any cancellations will be charged a cancellation fee of 50% of your total order (Pre-Tax).
Brooding Guides will be sent with each order.
Happy Hatching!
